Excluding the hanging ropes, the height of the lantern is 30 inches. In overall fine condition, with an attractive aged appearance to the gilt and bole decoration. Some breaks, repairs, and small losses to the carved detailing at the top; one side needing additional repair. All of the silk panels have some degree of tearing to the fabric, but don't appear to have any significant losses. The hanging ropes and ceiling cap are sturdy and usable. The wiring has not been tested or inspected.
